Central Otago is home to a number of small artisan producers. They are united in a passion for the wonderful tastes and flavours that the harshest of climates allows them to capture.

The Central Otago Food Network is an informal group of these local producers and suppliers. With the support of the District Council, the intention is to both raise the profile of the food industry in Central Otago and to offer opportunities for the local businesses to benefit from:
  • A support network of their peers;
  • Joint skills and business training opportunities;
  • Collective promotion through such things as Food Showcases to local restaurants and accommodation providers as well as opportunities to attend national food shows.
